The letters are out, the first meetings done, and it's starting to feel like summer more and more every day. Japan will be here before we know it!
Our plan for the trip is to put on a "BEK" (Bible English for Kids) camp at Kurume Christ Chruch for both attending children and kids from the community. Think of it like a short VBS. There will be worship, games, Bible stories, skits, and so on. We will do this for three days and then pack up and do something else; possibly head up to Sendai to help out with disaster clean-up. (Yes, there's still stuff to be cleaned up.)
For those of you who were on board last year, this may sound very similar to last year's plan. In fact, it pretty much is the original plan. But plans don't always work out, and that one certainly didn't. We ended up doing our BEK in Okutama, Japan, for Fukushima refugees and children from the community. It was absolutely, positively for the best. :D
Last thing:
Thank you so much for taking time to check out my blog. It means SO MUCH to us knowing that people from all over want to keep up with and support us, even though they can't be right with us. You guys are awesome. God bless!
